Lavinia Duica, M.D., Ph.D., Lecturer at „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Medicine Faculty and the Chief of Psychiatric Clinic „Gh. Preda” Psychatric Hospital –Sibiu. She is also psychotherapist in „Logotherapy and Existential Analysis”.

Dr. Duica is a book author and she has published also numerous papers within psychiatry and psychology area.

Workshop 4 theme: DEPRESSION - BETWEEN NORMALITY AND PSYCHOPATOLOGY

Depression is a very frequently word in our vocabulary and is a well-known condition in psychiatry.

There are some characteristics that are makeing a difference between depression as a reaction to adverse life conditions and depression as a psychiatric disturbance. We intend to find scientific responses to many questions upon depression in mental health domain and in medicine, in general.

DEPRESIA INTRE NORMALITATE SI PATOLOGIE

Cuvantul „depresie“ apare foarte frecvent in vocabularul nostru si este, pe de alta parte cuvantul ce denumeste o foarte cunoscuta afectiune in psihiatrie.

Exista cateva caracteristici care fac diferenta intre depresie ca reactie la conditiile de viata potrivnice si depresie ca tulburare psihiatrica. Intentionam sa identificam raspunsuri stiintifice la mai multe intrebari despre depresie in domeniul sanatatii mintale si in medcina in general.
